Cremation, caterpillars and something phallic!

Went walking near Panauti last weekend and saw my first Hindu cremation...
...its strangely fascinating to watch.
We also encountered a tree being devastated by hungry caterpillars. Perhaps we should write a book about it...oh wait its already a children's classic.
Our guide for the walk was very informative and we learnt much about Hindu worship. They have more than 40 million gods!! Should they want to procreate they also come and pray to the gods and a phallic representation. Judging by this temple we came across they are trying to repopulate the entire country.
We also visited a local school. They have around 300 kids in a small three storey building with no lighting. They were very pleased to see us and have their pictures taken.
