As there is not much happening at the moment, here are some photos of us doing the chores in the strike...
Off we go to get our drinking water supply. As you can see I've colour coordinated with the pillar.
After that we went to buy some onions. This little shop is usually well stocked with really fresh veges but every day the shelves are getting emptier. Not much left now except cabbages and eggs. By the weekend I think it will only have onions and garlic left. The locals are starting to get annoyed at the strike, shops are putting the prices up and as they generally buy their food day to day, soon there will not be much left to buy. We are lucky as we have a fridge, a freezer and more disposable income so could stock up on cans etc.
Then we went home and cooked dinner. We found a little shop that sold good sausages so we were having a nice UK/ NZ meal of sausages, potatoes, carrots and beans. And yes, that is the size of our kitchen! You could probably fit most of our Edinburgh flat in it!
So this is not quite a chore, but someone has to do it! Here is our roof terrace. The steps on the left go up to a second roof terrace with the water tanks and the washing line. You can just see my tomato plants to the right (they are still a little small).
We're hoping the strike will be over this weekend. Everyone is starting to get agitated and have started to protest against the protesters. We'll see what happens...

nice legs! And good work with the colour coordination - matching with inanimate secondary objects is a new level of style ;)
