Well, the time has come to leave Kathmandu. We had planned to leave at the end of October but the pollution and threat of food poisoning make it seem not such a good idea for me to stay, so I've changed my flight to 10 days time. Unfortunately Marc can't leave yet so will finish up work and come on our original flight.
I have to say I'm looking forward to leaving. It's been an interesting year, full of new experiences. We've learnt a lot and living in the developing world has really opened our eyes to many things. Nepal is a great place to visit, a 3 month stay would be awesome with going to Chitwan, Pokhara and lots more trekking than we have managed to fit in. But to live here is much harder. I have gone from a pretty calm person when it comes to traffic to feeling my blood boil at people constantly beeping their piercing horns right in my ear and cutting me off when I'm walking. I have even whacked a bus with my umbrella! Time to go I think!
Oh, I didn't say where we are leaving to...NZ here we come!
