Ah, at last. No more scary buses or noisy horns. The walk up the Langtang valley follows the glacial river through thick bamboo, rhododendron and oak forests with multiple waterfalls and tributaries along the way. The trees are covered with epiphytes encouraged by the dense, dark and moist steep valley topography.
You pass through many small settlements on the way at increasing altitudes. Apparently there are no Lama's at this village...no not even the furry ones.
We even came across wild Himalayan bee hives hanging from the valley wall and a troop of Grey Langur monkeys eating berries from a tree.
